1 . My star will be just one of the stars， for you。 And so you will love to watch all the stars in the heavens…… They will be your friends。我的星星对你而言，只不过是众星中的一颗。你会喜欢仰望天际所有的繁星……它们都会是你的朋友。
2 . You understand… It is too far。 I cannot carry this body with me。 It is too heavy。 But it will be like an old abandoned shell。 There is nothing sad about old shells…你知道……路途太遥远了。我的身躯太沉重了，带不走它……但它只不过是一具被丢弃了的旧躯壳。不必为一具旧躯壳感到伤心难过。
3 . If someone loves a flower， of which just one single blossom grows in all the millions and millions of stars， it is enough to make him happy just to look at the stars。 He can say to himself， “Somewhere， my flower is there…” But if the sheep eats the flower， in one moment all his stars will be darkened… And you think that is not important！倘若一个人对一朵花情有独钟，而那花在浩瀚的星河中，是独一无二的，那么，他只要仰望繁星点点，就心满意足了。他会喃喃自语：“我的花就在星河的某个角落……”可是，这花一旦被羊吃掉了，一瞬间，所有星星都将随之黯淡无光……那你也认为这不重要吗？
4 . Only the children know what they are looking for。 They waste their time over a rag doll and it becomes very important to them； and if anybody takes it away from them， they cry…只有小孩子知道自己在找什么。他们把时间花费在布洋娃娃身上。因此对他们而言，洋娃娃就变得很重要。一旦有人将娃娃拿走，他们就会号啕大哭……
5 . I thought that I was rich， with a flower that was unique in all the world； and all I had was a common rose。 A common rose…我总以为自己很富有，拥有一朵世上独一无二的花；实际上，我所拥有的不过是一朵普通的玫瑰而已。一朵普通的玫瑰花……
6 . The thing that is important is the thing that not seen… It is just as it is with the flower。 If you love a flower that lives on a star， it is sweet to look at the sky at night。 All the stars are abloom with flowers…重要的东西用眼睛是看不到的……就好比花一样。假如你喜欢某个行星上的一朵花，在夜晚仰望星空的时候心情就会很愉快，感觉所有的行星都开满了花……
7 . As for me， if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked， I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water。如果是我，要是我有五十三分钟可以自由运用，那我会悠哉游哉向一道清泉走去。
8 . In one of the stars I shall be living。 In one of them I shall be laughing。 And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing， when you look at the sky at night… You – only you – will have stars that can laugh…我就在繁星中的一颗上生活。我会站在其中的一颗星星上微笑。当你在夜间仰望天际时，就仿佛每一颗星星都在笑……你——只有你——才能拥有会笑的星星……
9 . It is of some use to my volcanoes， and it is of some use to my flower， that I own them。 But you are of no use to the stars。我对火山和花都有用处，所以我才拥有它们。但是，你对星星们却一点用处也没有啊！
10 . The house， the stars， the desert – what gives them their beauty is something that is invisible！古屋、星星和沙漠——赋予它们美丽的是某种看不见的东西……
11 . Men have not more time to understand anything。 They buy things already made at the shops。 But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship， and so men have no friends any more。人是没有多余的时间去了解其它事情的。他们到商店购买现成的东西。但是世上却没有可以买到友情的商店，所以人不会再有朋友了。

The wheat fields have nothing to say to me。 And that is sad。 But you have hair that is the color of gold。 Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me！ The grain， which is also golden， will bring me back the thought of you。 And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat。麦田和我没有任何关联，真令人沮丧。不过，你有金黄色的头发。想想看，如果你驯服了我，那该有多好啊！小麦也是金黄色的，那会使我想起你。我会喜欢听麦田里的风声……
14 . It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important。你在你的玫瑰花身上耗费的时间使得你的玫瑰花变得如此重要。

And when your sorrow is comforted time soothes all sorrows you will be content that you have known me。 You will always be my friend。 You will want to laugh with me。 And you will sometimes open your window， so， for that pleasure… And your friends will be properly astonished to see you laughing as you look up at the sky！ Then you will say to them， “Yes， the stars always make me laugh！”当你不再感到伤心的时候（时间会冲淡一切伤痛），你就会因认识我而感到心满意足。你是我永远的朋友。将会和我一起欢笑。为了欢乐，你会经常打开窗子……当你的朋友看到你因仰望天空而大笑时，一定会感到莫名其妙！到时候，你可以对他们说：“是的，星星总让我开心而笑！”
16 . You know — one loves the sunset， when one is so sad…你知道的——当一个人情绪低落的时候，他会格外喜欢看日落……

18 . Flowers are so inconsistent！ But I was too young to know how to love her…花总是表里不一，而我太年轻了，不知道该怎样爱护她……
19 . And no grown-ups will ever understand that this is a matter of so much importance！但是，大人们永远也不会了解这件事有多么重要！

You know， it will be very nice。 I， too， shall look at the stars。 All the stars will be wells with a rusty pulley。 All the stars will pour out fresh water for me to drink… That will be so amusing！ You will have five hundred million little bells， and I shall have five hundred million springs of fresh water…你知道，一切都会很好。我也会抬头看星星，每一颗星星都有一口井，上头都有一个生绣的滑轮。每一颗星星也会为我沁出甘醇的井水给我止渴……多有趣啊！你将拥有五亿个小铃铛，我也能拥有五亿道清泉……
