1 . 缓缓睁开眼睛，映入眼帘的竟是粉黄色的帐幔，暮色微凉。头顶是一袭一袭的流苏，随风轻摇。不适的动了动，却发现身下的床榻冰冷坚硬，即使那繁复华美的云罗绸如水色荡漾的铺于身下，总是柔软却也单薄无比。

3 . 刚至房门，便有一股细细的甜香袭人而来，宝玉觉得眼饧骨软，连说“好香”，入房向壁上看时，有唐伯虎画的《春睡海棠图》，两边有宋学士秦太虚写的一幅对联，其联云：嫩寒锁梦因春冷，芳气笼人是酒香。
4 . 不时飘来一阵紫檀香，幽静美好。榻边便是窗，精致的雕工，稀有的木质。窗外一片旖旎之景，假山，小池，碧色荷藕，粉色水莲。不时有小婢穿过，脚步声却极轻，谈话声也极轻。
5 . 6 . 整个房间都挂满了用金花点缀的深红色土耳其织锦。在房间的凹处，有一样长沙发模样的东西，上面放着几把阿拉伯宝剑，剑鞘是镀金的，剑柄镶嵌着一颗颗晶莹夺目的宝石。
